My Goalkeeping System

Chapter 325 Level Ten

Just like the commentator said, the game was very much sealed with that third from Fred.

Spree City players lost all their fighting spirit after that goal but at least they had the spirit to defend and make sure a third goal didn\'t happen until the referee blew his whistle to bring the match to an end.

"There\'s the whistle, it is all over," Jim said.

The fans were all cheers after all this wasn\'t an easy match and they came out on top three goals to nothing.

"With that, Unique FC has finally defeated Spree City after four matches of not being able to beat them." Steve articulated.

"Yeah, and it\'s no small victory," Jim said.

"Dave really tried his best to make sure that Felix didn\'t extend his scoring record against him, the striker still has the most goals against him but he has successfully prevented him from scoring against him in two consecutive matches, that should tell him a lot about the goalkeeper\'s level now."

Mateo was announced as the man of the match as expected, but that wasn\'t what mattered now.

The guest players had gone to applaud their fans who came down to Spree to watch them play, and after that, Dave turned around and began to scan the area for a certain someone.

It didn\'t take long for him to find him close to the tunnel talking to someone.

He made his way to the area, and just as he got closer, the player the striker was talking to turned and began to make his way down the tunnel.

It was at that moment that he turned toward the pitch to see the goalkeeper approaching him.

\'I guess avoiding him has failed now.\' He said subconsciously before biting his lower lip.

"Oh, hey, Dave." He said as soon as the goalkeeper got close enough.

"Felix," Dave said before stopping in front of him.

"Congratulations on your victory, I didn\'t expect you guys to outplay us like that but the unexpected happening sometimes is part of the beautiful game." The striker expressed.

"Yeah, and I guess that formula of yours didn\'t work just like it didn\'t work last time, are you having trouble getting a final answer with the formula just like you did when you scored nine goals in three matches?"

"Uh…it just didn\'t work, I\'ll just have to try again next time." He said with a fake smile that anyone would clearly be able to see through.

"Yeah, trying harder will work well too," Dave said.

"Yeah, I\'ll consider that too, I have to go join my teammates." The striker said before quickly turning to go down the tunnel. "Bye and good luck keeping a clean sheet when you face Supreme United."

<He still had to sneak in a comment like that, that guy has no shame>

Dave didn\'t say anything as he turned around to see that Mateo along with the rest of his teammates were making their way to him but before Mateo could move any further, someone popped up from nowhere and hooked her right arm with his left arm to prevent him from making a run for it.

"Hey, Mateo."

"Amber? Where the heck did you come from?" The winger was quite startled.

"Is that even supposed to be a question? I\'m a sports journalist so it\'s only right that I am here." She said.

"Where\'s Emma? She\'s supposed to be with you, right?" Dave got closer to ask.

"Ugh…about that," Amber said with an awkward expression on her face.

"What happened?" Dave demanded.

"Um….Mrs. Emma is a bit sick so she wasn\'t able to come, so I had to come with just Matthew." She explained.

"A bit sick?"

"Yeah, I think her pregnancy hormones are acting up again."

"Oh, I see," Dave muttered.

"But don\'t worry, I\'m sure she\'s okay, I called her a few minutes ago to confirm that." She said.

"That\'s good."

"Yeah, now come let\'s go, Mateo." She said before pulling the winger a little to the left along with her.

"Go where? You know this isn\'t Unique FC so you\'re not in charge of the official match interviews." Mateo said.

"Who said anything about that? Your teammate is over there taking care of that anyway, I just need you to answer a few of my questions, something I will include when I right the report of this match." She explained.

"Oh, I see, if that\'s the case, then you can just have Roland." The winger said before turning his gaze to Roland who just got closer to them at that time.

The left-back was about to say something when he spotted Amber.

"Oh, hi, Amber."

"No, I want you." She said before dragging the winger away from the left back.

"Seriously?" Roland muttered.

"Okay, okay, I\'ll do it." The winger said just to get her to stop. "But those types of interviews are done inside, not outside here."

"Let\'s go inside then."

"You know you getting close to me like this might start to spread some rumors that we won\'t like," Mateo said as he looked around to see that there were still a couple of fans in the stands. "There are cameras here and people are watching from the stands."

"What sort of rumors? That we\'re dating?" She asked without even looking at him.

"Yeah, something like that." The winger said with an awkward expression on his face.

"I don\'t think that\'ll be bad if it starts circulating."

"Huh?"

"But, I should let go, I see you don\'t like being dragged around by me." She said before letting go of him.

"Yes, thank you." He said before stretching his left arm.

"Those two got close really fast," Dave said before he began to make his way down the tunnel, he was the only one that hadn\'t gone down yet.
